Chargebacks and Fraud Prevention for Merchants - 2003-10-19
Some sellers believe that if they okay credit cards, they must accept every customer chargeback. I can state for a fact that this is not true. In my first year of selling on the Net, I had three chargeback attempts. I disputed and won all three.

I then decided I really didn't want to scare away prospective customers with terms that resembled a contract for a second mortgage. So I added a leading paragraph which stated we had a reasonable warranty and expected our customers to be reasonable as well.

A dream unfulfilled: Affordable homes elude thousands at Shore - 2003-10-19
The Schwears are in a bind and don't know how to free themselves. Donald and Marilyn Schwear and their four children live in a rented bungalow on Perrineville Road in Millstone.

"The problem is we cannot move up to something better," said Marilyn Schwear, a stay- at-home mom. "We can't afford a larger rental, and we can't afford a mortgage down payment, not in Monmouth County, or any nearby county."
