Bank mailings target seniors with reverse mortgages - 2003-11-21
When Mary Lou Knickerbocker, 83, of Juneau, lost her monthly $250 Longevity Bonus payments in August, she, like many older Alaskans, began seeking other ways to supplement her income.

In early October, Wells Fargo bank mailed her and about 18,000 other Alaskans who lost the bonuses a flier recommending she consider a reverse mortgage on her home.

Woman at the center of housing controversy tells her story - 2003-11-21
Adrianna Vann knows she's going through a storm of controversy. She's the only person recieving mortgage assistance from the Bexar County Housing Authority and she's the only person who's married to the son of that agency's executive director.

She wants people to keep one thing in mind, however, when she twice applied for the assistance, she wasn't even dating her current husband.
