New Home Construction in Metropolitan Milwaukee Recovers - 2003-11-26
New home construction in metro Milwaukee recovered in September compared with the same month a year ago, with Washington County posting the best year-over-year percentage gain for new single-family homes, data released Tuesday indicated.

The national economy's 8.2 percent growth in July through September, hefty stock market gains and mortgage interest rates near 30-year lows have infused the local home-building market with new vigor.

Finance deals face clampdown as complaints leap - 2003-11-26
Credit and debt disputes helped increased consumer complaints by 11 per cent over the past year.

After tabling Consumer Affairs Victoria's annual report in State Parliament yesterday, Consumer Affairs Minister John Lenders said he was seeking a national approach to tackling fringe credit providers, vendor financing, debt collection and the mortgage broking industry.
