Property values: Thailand to establish limit on mortgages - 2003-11-29
The Thai central bank plans to set a limit on mortgage lending for homes costing more than 10 million baht, or $250,000, to control bad loans in check.

Banks will be restricted to mortgages of no more than 70 percent of the price, the governor of the central bank, Pridiyathorn Devakula, said on Thursday in a speech at a seminar in Bangkok.
