Lone Star Buy - 2003-02-01
Hovnanian Enterprises has acquired another Texas builder for its portfolio. In January, the New Jersey-based public builder bought Brighton Homes, a Houston company that closed 750 homes between November 2001 and October 2002.

The buy boosts Hovnanian's presence to number seven in Houston, a market it entered in November 2002 with the acquisition of Parkside Homes.
