Gov. Sonny Perdue has signed a new predatory lending act - 2003-03-17
Given recent strident arguments at the state Capitol and accompanying strong media coverage, it's easy to forget the war over the Georgia Fair Lending Act didn't start when ratings agencies entered the fray early this year.

Battle lines were drawn long before Standard & Poor's, Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings Ltd. decided not to rate securities containing mortgages affected by the Georgia Fair Lending Act.
