High house prices support rental market - 2003-08-27
Demand for rented accommodation is still at its strongest level for two years as a result of booming house prices, uncertainty about the property market and higher mortgages rates.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) said 24% of surveyors reported an increase in demand during the three months to the end of July, almost level with the 27% who reported a rise during the previous quarter.
