Financial Firm Relocates to Fort Mill, S.C. - 2004-01-16
Craig Richards and Tom Brandenburg say Fort Mill is the right environment for their growing business. Their company, Advantage Financial Corp., recently relocated into the Miller Building in Baxter Village, a mixed-use development off S.C. 160.

With a staff of 13, the firm offers mortgages for new and existing homeowners, construction loans and insurance, among other financial products.
Clients range from single moms to large companies.

£600m-a-day mortgage bonanza - 2004-01-16
Mortgage madness engulfed the country last year as people rushed to remortgage* for a better deal or to get cash from their property.

Market analyst Datamonitor said 2003 would be a record year for mortgage lending, with a total of £222.4bn - more than £600m a day - advanced during the first 10 months of the year, well above the £218.6bn lent during the whole of 2002.
