First-time buyers need to make at least £20,000 to get an initial foot on the property ladder in Lincolnshire, the Echo can reveal today.
According to Lincoln mortgage lenders, the average price of a first-time buy is currently around £74,000, meaning that house-hunters need a salary of at least £20,000 a year and an excellent credit rating before they are even considered for a mortgage.
