Local experts expect interest rates to increase slightly in '04 - 2004-01-25
With interest rates dropping to a 40-something-year low in 2003, many experts are predicting a slight increase in 2004.

According to Greg McBride, financial analyst for Bankrate.com, mortgage rates may inch higher on positive economic news and speculation about eventual rate hikes, but modest inflation remains the lid that keeps mortgage rates below 6 percent.
