Kerry's six million dollar mortgage for campaign - 2004-01-26
The ketchup money can't be touched, but Sen. John Kerry's personal wealth owes something to the large holdings of his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, an heir to millions after the 1991 death of her first husband.

Mr. Kerry, the front-runner for tomorrow's Democratic primary in New Hampshire, in December lent his campaign $850,000 from his own considerable fortune. Most recently, he injected about $6 million from a mortgage of his share of his home.

Area Residents Indicted for Fraud and Obstruction of Justice - 2004-01-26
A Springfield pair were fingered by a federal grand jury in an indictment charging them with bank fraud and obstruction of justice.

The indictment alleges that CALCASOLA and RIVAS falsely inflated the personal income figures of RIVAS to Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services and Fleet Mortgage Company in order to secure a loan to purchase 19 Rutledge
Avenue.
