Banks Has Cheapest Mortgages - Survey - 2004-01-05
Banks provided the cheapest mortgages during 2003 with four of the top five best value home loans, a financial information group revealed today.

Internet bank Egg offered the lowest standard variable rate mortgage during the year, charging interest of £2,286.44 on a £50,000 loan, according to Defaqto.

DEVELOPER MAY LOOK FOR DEAL ON HOUSING DENSITY - 2004-01-05
A landowner initially looking for approval of a high-density subdivision through a loophole in the current affordable-housing law may reach a compromise with the town, according to Town Planner Jason Pezzullo.

Pezzullo has sought guidance from Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Corporation, a state nonprofit organization that grants subsidies for affordable housing, he said.
