Average personal debt hits £4,426 - 2004-01-09
The average person's debt in the UK has hit £4,426 due to higher levels of unsecured borrowing according to the latest research.

However, the amount borrowed on personal loans fell for the first time in four years. The research claimed that the fall in personal loans borrowing was due to increased competition from mortgage lenders.

Building permits pulled in Lee pass $2B mark for year - 2004-01-09
On economic terms, Lee County development is hitting on all cylinders. According to the just-released figures for 2003, the number of building permits drawn in Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach and unincorporated Lee County jumped a whopping $500 million to cross the $2 billion mark for the year.

"The historically low mortgage rates have been fueling the real estate market," Reitmann said.
