No indication of widespread self-cert abuse, says FSA - 2004-02-10
Mortgage lenders have been notified in a letter from the FSA there is little evidence of abuse of self-certification mortgage applicants as firms have good controls to prevent against fraud.

A Dear CEO letterdated 4th February and shown yesterday on the FSA website says there is no evidence of widespread mortgage application fraud as its review of lending controls revealed only 8% of all new mortgage lending originates through self-certification lending.

Harrison football standout joins HomeBanc mortgage - 2004-02-10
Daniel Cobb of Kennesaw, an outstanding quarterback at Harrison High School and Auburn University, has joined HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation as a mortgage banker.

Cobb has completed HomeBanc's eight-week intensive professional sales development program, where he learned the ins and outs of the mortgage business, HomeBanc's systems and products, and successful techniques for finding and closing the right mortgage loan for each customer.
