Median home prices soaring high - 2004-02-14
South Bay cities placed in the top 10 in percentage increases and in priciest homes.%/H1%

California's median home price touched another record high at the end of last year, further pushing up the cost of becoming a homeowner in the state.

The median price for an existing, single-family detached home rose 17.9 percent to $391,680 in the fourth quarter, pushing up the monthly mortgage payment.
