Carolina Financial's net income climbs - 2004-02-14
Carolina Financial Corp., parent of Crescent Bank, set an earnings record in 2003.

As of Dec. 31, net income was a little more than $2 million, or $1.23 per share, compared with the $1.8 million, or $1.08 per share, earned during the same period in 2002.

The decrease included an after-tax startup cost of $195,000 for the new subsidiary of Crescent Mortgage Co., which pulled down earnings of 12 cents per share.
