U.S. home builder optimism affected by bad weather - 2004-02-17
U.S. home builder optimism dropped in February for a second straight month, hampered by bad winter weather across the country, which caused prospective buyers to stay away, an industry report said on Tuesday.
Favorable fundamental conditions for the U.S. housing market, like historically low mortgage rates, have stayed intact after record home sales in 2003, the industry group said.
