Identity theft ultimate goal of loan company - 2004-02-21
An apparent scam based in Southern Indiana offers "personal loans, auto loans and home mortgage refinancing," the Tri-State Better Business Bureau warned Friday.

Calling itself "America's Choice Credit Union" or "American's Choice Bank," the group tries to place advertisements in newspapers or reach area residents through telemarketing.

U.K. Gilts Register First Weekly Drop in Three on BOE Rate View - 2004-02-21
U.K. government bonds dropped for the first week in three after reports on the housing market and retail sales suggested the Bank of England might raise interest rates in coming months to cool consumer spending growth.

U.K. mortgage lending surged in January at the fastest pace in two years, the British Bankers' Association said this week.
