Loss of license possible in equity-stripping case - 2004-02-21
An administrative law judge has granted Minnesota Commerce Commissioner Glenn Wilson authority to seize the real estate and residential mortgage originator licenses of accused equity-stripper Hendrie Cutler Grant and his Cutler Mortgage Co.

The department reported Friday that Judge Kathleen Sheehy recommended the commissioner "take disciplinary action against" the licenses. The recommendation, issued Wednesday, followed a hearing Feb. 11 in Minneapolis.

Are trouble industries low on ethics? - 2004-02-21
Troubles with high-tech companies, including an expanding problem with Internet service providers, remain among the top 10 consumer complaints in Washington.

Complaints about Internet service providers, or ISPs, moved onto the Top 10 list for the first time last year, at No. 7, with 918 complaints filed.
Other businesses that made the attorney general's Top 10 list were auto sales, collections, mortgage brokers, contractors, credit card issuers and auto repair companies.
