Mortgage Index Higher Again - 2004-02-26
Mortgage applications climbed for a second consecutive week, an industry group revealed.

The Mortgage Bankers Association said its index rose 2.1 percent last week, to 854.5, from 837.1 the week before. The measure of home purchase applications rose 2.3 percent, to 423.5, from 413.9. The group's index measuring applications to refinance homes rose 1.9 percent, to 3,361.9, from 3,298.3.
