NAB under scrutiny over audit - 2004-02-26
The National Australia Bank has disclosed two separate run-ins with the tax office and the United States securities watchdog.

The regulator also wanted information on the bank's "accounting and internal controls" over the last three years, including information related to the currency scandal and the bank's failed US mortgage business HomeSide, which led to $4 billion in writedowns in 2001.
