Suspects in Spokane, Wash., Mortgage Fraud Case Accuse Former Employees of Setup - 2004-02-07
The list of potential fraud victims from a local mortgage broker may expand to thousands after investigators learned Wednesday that a suspect has worked for two other local mortgage firms.

However, fraud suspect Micki Green, 45, has worked as an undercover informant for Spokane police and claims that she is now being set up by former employees.

Spokane county and city investigators raided Don Joyal and Green's Spokane Valley home Tuesday.

British mortgage lender wants govt. help - 2004-02-07
A British mortgage company has asked the government to continue some type of financial aid to workers who are not able to afford housing.

The BBC reported Saturday the Halifax Co., in a study released this week, said nurses and teachers cannot afford to buy a home in more than half of Britain's towns.
