FIVE MOVES AFTER, A HOME AT LAST FOR YOUNG FAMILY - 2004-02-07
Self-employed builder Craig Worthington and his partner, Leah, know intimately the challenges of finding affordable accommodation.

Unable to afford a mortgage big enough to support the purchase of their own home, the couple have lived in a wide range of rented accommodation.

But now, after five moves in two years, the couple have moved into one of 15 new homes being built at Hilltop, St Ann's Chapel, near Bigbury, by affordable housing provider Tor Homes.

Housing market defies troubled economy - 2004-02-07
Renee Viening and Bryan Breuker knew they rather purchase a home last year instead of moving into an apartment.

"Renting seemed to us like throwing our money away," Viening, 20, said.

Worried that interest rates might rise before their wedding this June, the couple bought a Holland home for nearly $120,000 with a 6 percent rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage loan.
