Mortgage limits upped - 2004-03-11
The state's housing finance agency has significantly boosted the income limits for first-time homebuyers attempting to qualify for its low-rate mortgages.

The income limits vary regionally. In Sacramento County, for example, singles or couples without children can earn up to $76,920 a year to qualify for a relatively low-rate loan offered by the California Housing Finance Agency.
