Homeowner's insurance even more vital as severe weather season approaches - 2004-03-14
Colorado weather can be harsh at any time. But the worst season is coming. Heavy spring snows and early summer hailstorms can wreak havoc on a roof. One couple in Denver learned the difficult way that their insurance coverage wasn't adequate.

Almost a year later, Lupe and Teresa Vargas are still rebuilding. Lupe Vargas bought the original home in Washington Park after he moved to Colorado from Mexico. He worked hard to pay-off the mortgage.

Bad habits at the Abbey - 2004-03-14
The disclosure that Abbey National boss Luqman Arnold and finance director Stephen Hester recieved £2 million, including bonus payments, when the mortgage bank had made huge losses, makes you wonder about the board's judgment.

The directors claim they deserve the money because they are helping to tidy up the mess left by previous management and you have to pay good rates to attract talent and keep it.
