Arizona Bank & Trust to Start Residential Mortgage Loan Department - 2004-03-16
William F. Frank, president and CEO of Arizona Bank & Trust, unveiled today the opening of its residential mortgage loan department.

According to Frank, the department will initially commence operations at Arizona Bank & Trust's Mesa office located by the Fiesta Mall at 1331 W. Southern Ave. Our second location for mortgage lending will open in May of this year at our new branch in Chandler, located just off the east side of Highway 10 at the Ray Road exit.

Supervisors continue ahead with mortgage tax plan - 2004-03-16
The county advanced a step closer last week to a hike in the mortgage tax as a way of helping close a projected million dollar revenue shortfall this year.

Over the continuing objection of Democratic supervisors, the County Board of Supervisors voted along party lines March 10 to ask state lawmakers for home rule legislation to increase the current county' mortgage tax by half a percent to 1.25%.
