Shareholders okays BofA, Fleet merger - 2004-03-17
Bank of America Corp.'s purchase of FleetBoston Financial Corp. cleared its last major obstacle March 17 when a majority of shareholders of both companies approved the $47 billion deal which would create the nation's third-largest bank.

Fleet's Western New York operation also includes 35 branch offices -- mostly in Erie and Niagara counties -- a regional headquarters that houses private banking, commercial lending and mortgage operations, and a money center.

Pa. mortgage lender enters Birmingham - 2004-03-17
Warrington Mortgage Corp. of Philadelphia suburb Feasterville, Pa., has set up a loan origination office at 616 Gadsden Highway in Birmingham, its third location overall.

The local office is managed by Bill Early, who has more than 40 years of experience in the construction, engineering and real estate sectors. Warrington's other location is in Cinnaminson, N.J
