ABFS provides Web site for mortgage brokers - 2004-03-18
American Business Financial Services Inc. of Philadelphia has developed a new mortgage broker Web site.

The site, called UplandBroker.com, will be used by mortgage brokers to structure loans. ABFS is a sub-prime mortgage lender, and it has been working to increase sales of loans through brokers as a way to boost its business.

Idaho 2003 construction activity makes record - 2004-03-18
Construction activity in Idaho established a record in 2003, confirming optimism that the state's struggling economy has finally started to recover.

New home construction was responsible for the significant increase, jumping 20 percent from a year earlier to nearly $1.6 billion. The lowest home mortgage rates in decades were responsible for the expansion that state economists estimate produced a record 15,300 new housing starts in 2003.
