Home ownership fairs ready for Saturday - 2004-03-02
Four free home ownership fairs, focused on helping people determine if they can get a mortgage, and to address other questions related to home ownership, will be held Saturday, March 6, in Birmingham.

The 10 a.m.-2 p.m. sessions will be held at Century Plaza mall in the Eastwood Mall area; Gardendale Civic Center in north Jefferson County; Helena Municipal Building in north Shelby County; and Western Hills Mall in Fairfield.

Mortgage Bank B&B chief moving on - 2004-03-02
Mortgage bank Bradford & Bingley today declared that its chief executive is stepping down.

The former building society said Christopher Rodrigues, who has led the bank for the last eight years, was leaving to become president and chief executive of US-based credit card operator Visa International.

Mr Rodrigues will be succeeded by Steven Crawshaw, head of the bank's core lending and savings business, at the end of March.
