On the move: Peterson is senior VP at HDR's capital office - 2004-03-22
John Courson has been appointed chairman of the California Housing Finance Agency. Courson previously served as California Mortgage Bankers Association president of the board. For the last 14 years he has served as chairman, president and CEO of Central Pacific Mortgage Co. in Folsom.

Endowment mortgage complaints 'cost £24m' - 2004-03-22
The handling of a record number of complaints regarding endowment mortgages cost the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) around £24m this year, it emerged today.

The Ombudsman expects to have investigated around 100,000 complaints during the year to the end of March, around 50,000 of which relate to endowment mortgages.
