Mortgage refinancing building momentum as low rates hold - 2004-03-24
A second refinance boom could be in the making after a recent unexpected decrease of home mortgage interest rates to levels not seen since last summer when they hit 45-year lows.

Already mortgage brokers and a title company executive say they've noted a pronounced uptick in their business as refinance loan applications have begun to pour in, joining an already strong stream of loan requests from the booming home-purchase market

Teachers and nurses to get mortgage help - 2004-03-24
Thousands of East Anglian teachers and nurses will recieve loans of up to £50,000 to help them purchase their own house as prices continue to soar, the Government declared last night.

It comes as the gap between earnings and the price of starter homes is widening - pricing thousands of people, including key workers, out of the market who cannot afford the high mortgages.
