Mortgage borrowing soars to £9bn in February - 2004-03-29
Mortgage borrowing expanded at its fastest pace on record last month, according to figures from the Bank of England yesterday that indicate households shrugged off the impact of the recent hikes in interest rates.

Homeowners borrowed almost £9bn in February, £500m higher than January's increase and 14.5 per cent up on a year ago, the strongest annual rise since the Bank started collecting figures in 1994.

ResMAE Opens Two New Mortgage Processing Centers in Illinois and California to Support Continuing Growth - 2004-03-29
Two new regional processing centers have started operation in Illinois and California as part of the continuing nationwide growth of Residential Mortgage Assistance Enterprise, LLC (ResMAE). Each center will provide complete loan processing services including set-up, underwriting, appraisals, and funding.

The Illinois center, located in Schaumburg just outside Chicago, will service Midwest states. The California center, located in Concord, currently serves northern California.
