House Prices Higher - 2004-03-03
House prices climbed by an average of £3,000 in the area last month. The jump, much larger than anticipated, means the average house price across Tower Hamlets is now £205,600.

Hometrack, the property price monitor that published the report, says buyers are taking advantage of more confident mortgage lenders.

Jury to decide fate of business people in mortgage racketeering trial - 2004-03-03
A Bibb County jury could decide the outcome today of two Macon business people charged with g participating in a scheme to defraud mortgage lenders out of more than $1.1 million.

Closing arguments were delivered Tuesday in the racketeering trial of 42-year-old Paul Harrison and 32-year-old Daphne Dumas. Both are on trial in Bibb County Superior Court on two counts of violating the state's racketeering act by conspiring with 15 other people to cheat mortgage companies.
