Baby boomers, you're living on borrowed time - 2004-03-30
I would never expect anyone to feel sorry for the baby boomers - they always feel sorry enough for themselves. But there may be something to learn from their experience.

It began after World War II with the advent of hire purchase, then grew to freely available personal loans and credit cards. The latest is the home-equity loan, where people with equity in their home can borrow for any purpose simply by adding to their mortgage.

Broker ordered to stop doing business in Nevada - 2004-03-30
Nevada's Mortgage Lending Division has ordered Brian Martin of Las Vegas to cease doing business.

According to commissioner Scott Bice, Martin is not licensed as a mortgage agent in Nevada and must immediately stop offering mortgage broker and mortgage agent services.

Martin was also fined $5,000, and Cornerstone Mortgage was hit with a cease-and-desist order for employing him without the requisite license.
