30- ,15-Year Mortgage Rates Unchanged - 2004-03-04
U.S. 30- and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages were flat in the latest week, but mortgage finance giant Freddie Mac indicated on Thursday that rates will start to trend upward as the economy continues to improve.

Freddie Mac said 30-year mortgage rates averaged 5.59 percent in the latest week, up from 5.58 percent a week ago.

The Ten Most Missed Tax Deductions - 2004-03-04
Every year, many tax returns are filed by taxpayers who neglect to claim deductions they are actually entitled to take.

Sure there are the deductions you'd think most people would be aware of, such as mortgage interest and charitable donations. But, in fact, nearly one million people fail to itemize mortgage interest, resulting in an overpayment of $473 million, according to a 2002 GAO Report.
