Canada's housing boom expected to continue into this spring - 2004-03-04
It seems as if Canada's house-building boom will continue into 2004 even if other construction sectors aren't performing as well.

The agency cited low mortgage rates, employment strength and a high level of consumer confidence as reasons for the housing boom.

But it said that the value of non-residential permits fell by 4.9 per cent to $1.4 billion, as industrial, commercial and institutional all retreated - third decline in the last four months.

Apartments Increase Housing Options In Pasco - 2004-03-04
Getting a whiff of climbing mortgage rates, some Pasco builders have kicked off a new round of apartment construction.

Three apartment projects are in various stages of development near the intersection of State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

Two are within the Seven Oaks subdivision, while the third is at the northeast corner of the Northwood development.
