Housing Resale Market Drops for Metropolitan Milwaukee - 2004-03-08
Metro Milwaukee's housing resale market saw its worst February in three years, and there was no obvious reason for the downturn, industry veterans said Friday.

"Interest rates are great. There's no reason why houses would not be selling. But in late December and January, the (mortgage) business was deader than a doornail," LaFond said.

Housing starts come back - 2004-03-08
New home construction came back in February, surging more than 9 per cent as demand for both single and multiple units rose, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. said Monday.

Last month, housing starts hit a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 214,100 units, up 9.5 per cent from January's 195,500.
