Bradford Mortgage Acquires The Scottish Bank's Mortgage Division - 2004-05-24
Bradford Mortgage Company, the mortgage banking company set up two years ago in Winston-Salem, has purchased the mortgage division of The Scottish Bank, a fast-growing community bank headquartered in Charlotte.

The Scottish Bank's former mortgage department will operate under the name The Scottish Bank Mortgage Company, according to Brad Church, President ofBradford Mortgage Company.

Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco Awards $5.5 Million to Help Lower-Income Homebuyers - 2004-05-24
The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco today unveiled approximately $5.5 million in matching grants to assits lower-income residents become homeowners in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas.

Under both programs, the funds may be used for downpayment and/or closing costs. Under the WISH Program, homebuyers must participate in eligible mortgage assistance programs administered by a public or private entity.
