Mortgage borrowers confront possibilty of mortgage grief - 2004-05-31
Mortgage borrowers who have chosen interest-only loans to make the spiralling price of property less expensive will be stretched again if the Bank of England's monetary policy commission raises interest rates another notch at its assembly early next month.

In the mean time, mortgages have transformed greatly over the last 10 years. In 1993, just 20% of mortgages repaid capital and interest every month, 67% were interest-only with a donation, with the rest compensated by other forms of saving policy.
