Mortgage lending by Irish institutions hit record levels in April, the Central Bank reported this morning.
Short-term interest rates stayed broadly unaltered in April, in line with key ECB interest rates, but longer-term cash market rates rose after falling for four months in a row as market participants revised upwards their intentions for interest rates in the approaching months.
