Tulsa, Okla.-Area Builders Report Record First Half - 2004-07-14
The number of home-building permits dropped a bit last month. Speculation about rising interest rates hasn't slowed the pace of home construction in the Tulsa area.

Last week, rates on 30-year and 15-year mortgages dropped for a third straight week to levels that homes buyers hadn't seen since early spring.

Champion Mortgage Survey Indicates That Most Homeowners Have Never Considered Home Equity Products - 2004-07-14
Potential for more growth in the home equity market remains healthy. In a survey released today by Champion Mortgage(R), 58 percent of homeowners said that they have never had a
home equity loan or credit line -- and have never considered applying for one.

In addition, 56 percent of the homeowners surveyed nationwide stated that they would not consider using the equity in their homes to consolidate high levels of debt.
