N.H. economy sees strong growth - 2005-01-12
The state’s economic growth should continue to outperform that of other New England states in the next year and slightly exceed the national average, economists told key House lawmakers.

Consumers also continue to spend on the goods and services businesses must sell to keep their profits and the job growth, he said. The housing market also continues to thrive, though rising mortgage interest rates could dampen construction and sales going forward.

Mortgage owner admits swindling client - 2005-01-12
A Souderton mortgage company owner has pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court to scamming a Norristown man out of $128,000 in a phony investment scheme.

Edward Schnable Jr., 44, of 405 N. Fourth St., pleaded guilty Monday before county Judge Richard Hodgson to felony charges of theft by deception and securities fraud, and could face prison time or probation.
