Mortgage Lender Washington Mutual: To Achieve 10%-12% Average Asset Gains - 2005-01-20
Despite an expected difficult environment in 2005, Washington Mutual Inc. (WM) expects to achieve 10% to 12% average asset gains in 2005, company executives said.

Chief Financial Officer Tom Casey said he foresees adjustable rate mortgages, planned increases in home equity, multi-family and nonprime lending to help drive asset growth.

Why Your Home Isn't Selling - 2005-01-20
A couple of years ago, houses were selling like there's no tommorow, prices were rising and estate agents were making a fortune. The picture looks a little different now.

Even if you manage to find a buyer willing to pay your asking price, remember that his mortgage lender will still need to be convinced that the house is worth it. If you've had little interest after a month, then consider reducing the price, particularly if you can't afford a long wait.
