New Help For Homebuyers - 2005-01-24
The Deputy Prime Minister today showcased a five-year plan to make housing more affordable for first-time buyers.

For some workers on low incomes, this plan could be a blessing. Indeed, according to the Halifax, Britain's biggest mortgage lender, workers on average salaries are unable to buy average-priced homes throughout the UK.

Home Equity Loans Hit Record Levels - 2005-01-24
The market research SMR Research says loan originations surged more than 30 percent to a record level in 2004, and they're forecasting similar growth this year.

He said they're wonderful if you can use them properly, because the interest on home equity loans, like mortgage loasns, typically is tax-deductible and much lower than the interest on credit cards.
