Converting apartments to condos squeezes some housing seekers - 2005-01-09
Homebuying is hot -- and thousands of apartments in northern Virginia are being transformed in to condominiums. But experts say that could make it hard for moderate-income residents to find an affordable place to live.

Brittany resident David Bass says he's uncertain if he'll be able to manage a mortgage payment on his two-bedroom apartment, which will be sold for 350- to 375-thousand dollars.
