Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta Awards $1 Million to Florida Partnerships for Affordable Housing - 2005-02-09
A 100-unit transitional housing complex for formerly homeless residents in Miami and a 20-home project lead by Habitat for Humanity of St. Augustine are among the three winning housing initiatives in Florida to receive more than $1 million in grants as part of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta's Affordable Housing Program (AHP).

Guns, butter U.S. economy works for only so long - 2005-02-09
President Bush is not doing enough in his task to curb spending. With the budget proposal at $2.57 trillion without money for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the cuts and elimination of programs he proposes only slow the growth of national debt.

A report published last month said that large U.S. budget deficits pose significant risks for the U.S. economy and the rest of the world.
