US economy grew with little inflation - 2005-03-11
The US economy grew at a moderate pace in late January and February with little inflation, although businesses in some areas were finding it easier to raise prices, the Federal Reserve said.

“The economy has continued to grow at a moderate pace,” the Fed said in its beige book summary of economic conditions. “Retail prices were generally flat or up modestly; however, businesses continued to face rising input costs.” the Fed said.

Greenspan: Budget Deficits Pose Risk to U.S. Economy - 2005-03-11
U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan declared on Thursday that future U.S. budget deficits pose a bigger risk to the economy than the record-high trade imbalances do.

"The resolution of our current account deficit and household debt burdens does not strike me as overly worrisome, but that is certainly not the case for our fiscal deficit," Greenspan said in a prepared speech to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.
