Housing cool-down seen as mortgage rates rise - 2005-03-25
Marin Realtors don't expect a huge shift in local market
With mortgage rates higher for the sixth consecutive week, Marin real estate industry experts expect some cooling of the hot local market and less frenzied homebuying.

"We're going to see that cool-down, no question about it," said Barry Crotty, a real estate agent with Pacific Union in Greenbrae. "I think people will be a lot more thorough and thoughtful with the purchase of a home as the year goes on."

Mortgage brokers offer 'elite' services - 2005-03-25
Lifelong Thomaston resident Patrick Martone started his business adventures in town at the age of 15 with his disc jockey company, Party Zone DJ Services.

Elite's Thomaston office is one of two recently set up by the trio, the other is situated in Southbury. Martone said he met Celiberti and Ridgefield about a year ago while they were working as mortgage brokers at Sterling Lending in Bethel. Martone said the three decided to join forces in the "cut-throat" business, and formed an alliance, "The Elite Team."
