Recently, though, there has been talk of a dot-com-style bubble about to pop in real estate. Healthy job growth and population growth mean nationwide demand probably won't slow drastically despite worries that certain markets could see a significant price drop.

China's Economy Grew 9.8% Last Year, Overtaking France - 2006-01-23
China most likely overtook France as the world's fifth-largest economy in 2005 as a record trade surplus and active investment drove the fourth straight year of over 9 percent growth. The government is stepping up attempts to bolster consumer spending in a nation where per capita incomes are still a 16th of France's.
