Seniors consider reverse mortgage - 2006-01-24
Martin, accompanied by her grandson Tim, was one of the approximately 80 seniors who attended a free seminar on reverse mortgages. She was looking into this financing option as a way to deal with medical bills. Reverse mortgages are loans taken out on home equity. They are created specifically for seniors 62 years and older to use that equity to come up with cash for everything from medical bills to vacations.
